What’s on

Social Calendar.

Social Events:

Meet at the Club Room

On the first Friday of each month at St Georges schoolroom, behind St Georges church, Church St., Altrincham (Opposite Cresta Court Hotel) from 8:30pm onwards where members meet for chat and tea. You’ll also find a table tennis table. Generally members then go along afterwards to the Old Market Tavern nearby.

Also, we have the following dates for your diaries for social events this year.

Wednesday 15th May.
Club 10 TT championship social:
Every rider and every marshal and helper is invited to the Bears Paw pub immediately afterwards for sandwiches and chips (paid for by the club). It is a great opportunity to socialise over a drink and food. Last year it was very well supported and was a super evening. There will be a road bike category and EVERYONE is welcome to have a go. I will need to know who will be riding/volunteering the week before to let the pub know the numbers attending.

14th – 16th June
Seamons cycling weekend in Wharfedale

Sunday 11th August
Summer (coffee and cake) social:
More details nearer the time.

Saturday 9th November
Prize-giving annual social:
This will be held at the LMRCA Railway Club, 127, Navigation Rd, WA14 1LJ with catering by Cachumba.  As we did last time, the rewards ceremony will be much briefer than in previous years giving us more time to socialise and again we will have a buffet rather than formal sit-down meal. Tickets will be on sale nearer the time.

Sunday 22nd December
Xmas get-together:
Sunday club rides as usual for all groups but all cyclists to meet in the same cafe afterwards for a drink and a cake and a chance to socialise (paid for by the club). Further details much nearer the time.
Also if you have any ideas for other social events please let me or any committee member know. This is your club but we can only put on events/rides etc. if we know what the members want.
