Important details for Tuesday night’s 25 TT championship.

Mere roundabout marshals: Phil Holden, John Barry, Doug Coombes, Harry Davies
Swineyard roundabout: David Hoyle, Mike Kilburn, Bob McPartland, Roy Waters
Swineyard/A50 junction: Ellie Turton, Philip Lovel, Nicholas Wheeler
Truckstop roundabout: John Hammond, Gordon Peake, Keith Bailey, Robin Haigh.

First rider off at 7pm. Please be in place by then.
If you don’t have a hi-viz jacket please collect one from Bears Paw lay-by.

The route is as follows:

Club 25 route

Start on A50 just after the junction with Crabtree Lane near Orchard Service Station
Ride in an Easterly direction on A50 for approximately 2.40 miles and circle the roundabout
Ride in a westerly direction on A50 and turn left into Swineyard Lane after approximately 4.95 miles
Ride in a southerly direction on Swineyard Lane until first roundabout after approximately 8.10 miles and circle the roundabout
Ride in a northerly direction on Swineyard Lane until reach A50 again at approximately 11.35 miles, turn left
Ride in a westerly direction on A50 until truck stop roundabout at 12.90 miles, circle roundabout
Ride in an easterly direction on A50 until roundabout at approximately 16.95 miles, circle roundabout
Ride in a westerly direction on A50 and turn left into Swineyard Lane after approximately 19.50 miles
Ride in a southerly direction on Swineyard Lane until first roundabout after approximately 22.70 miles and circle the roundabout
Ride in northerly direction on Swineyard Lane for approximately 2.30 miles until reach finish at 25 miles at a very minor road
junction (Heath Lane) on the left with a triangular grass area.

HAZARDS

• Traffic (warning signs alerting motorist on approach to junctions and roundabouts / marshals in high-viz jackets
at start, finish, roundabouts and A50/Swineyard junction / all riders must have rear lights / all riders strongly encouraged to have
flashing front lights and to wear helmets / hi-viz numbers on back of jerseys)
• Potentially bad weather/poor visibility (warning signs alerting motorist on approach to junctions and roundabouts / marshals
in high-viz jackets at start, finish, roundabouts and A50/Swineyard junction / all riders must have rear lights / all riders strongly
encouraged to have flashing front lights and to wear helmets / hi-viz numbers on back of jerseys)
• A50/Swineyard Lane junction Riders must not cross central white line on Swineyard when entering or exiting;
when turning left from Swineyard onto A50 riders must keep tight and not pull out wide onto A50 – a chalk line will be drawn on the road surface
and any rider crossing this line will be DQd .
• Roundabouts (riders must not use aerobars on any of the roundabouts; any rider using aerobars on roundabouts will be DQd).
